7 Tips to Create the Perfect Whiteboard or Explainer Video for Your Brand

March 28, 2019

Whiteboard and explainer videos are great tools for your business. They are also great for blog content and creating compelling video tutorials through YouTube as well. It’s not just individuals and businesses who are getting in on the action, it’s content creators of all types.

In fact, according to recent statistics, it is one of the single most important tools you have today to create hype around your business.

The latest statistics reports that interactive whiteboards are steadily growing in popularity and have been doing so for the past ten years! Currently (as of 2019), Insivia reports more video content has been uploaded in a 30-day period than in the past 30 years! That’s amazing!

The study on the Impactbnd.com site goes on to say that there are no direct correlations between company size and the number of videos published. The latest statistic shows that some companies with annual revenue of less than $10 million in revenue are sometimes outperforming larger companies with a bigger budget for advertising.

This is substantial because it means that even small companies on a budget can produce top video content with the right tools.

How to Get the Right Tools

It’s evident that video is the key to getting the attention of your target audience. But what kind of video should you produce? Animations and whiteboard animations are the most popular type of videos with people today, and millions of them are online every day looking for content.

Tips on Creating the Perfect Explainer or Whiteboard Video

So, if you are on a budget and you want to create a whiteboard explainer video for your audience, where do you start? How do you know what to say or how to do it right? The following seven tips may help you, based on what successful companies are doing today to get their video noticed.

1. Publish often.

One of the things many business owners miss is the fact that they need to publish regular content if they are going to get the attention of their audience and keep them coming back. Getting repeat listeners and viewers are the key to success with your video campaigns.

2. Create value

The ability to create value for your brand shines through in a well-produced explainer video. You can create this value in many different ways including the following:

  • Products and services
  • Customer service
  • Free content
  • Offering solutions to their problems

All of the above can be used to create value. If you focus on products and services, you can build value for your brand by talking about the specific ways your products and services help make their lives better. Saving people time and money, increasing their chances of success, or just being helpful can all be seen as valuable to your target audience.

If you focus on your customer service, you can talk about how you are always there to help your customer when they need assistance. People tend to be more loyal to businesses and brands who support their customers when they need help.

Offering free content, especially helpful tips can help encourage viewers and increase your brand followers.

Finally, offering solutions for customer concerns or problems can go a long way toward increasing your customer loyalty and brand popularity.

You can use all of these angles from time to time, but it is recommended by most professionals that you only focus on one at a time in your video content.

3. Be original.

You can get lots of ideas from others who are utilizing whiteboard or explainer video techniques but make sure you are original in your thinking. Creating unique content that resonates with your target audience is the most important thing you can do to draw attention to your brand.

4. Tell a good story with whiteboard animation.

One of the reasons whiteboard video works so well is that it takes the viewer through a storyline in a logical, organized fashion that seems to be “in real time.” Even though the video was created at another time, when people watch your videos, they feel that they are watching the story you are telling unfold in real time. This helps keep their interest to the end if you have a good story.

Building an interesting storyline can start with graphs or charts, infographics, or pictures, anything that grabs the interest of your viewers. But to keep them interested through the explainer video so that they will see it all, you need to keep them engaged by presenting information that is valuable and new.

To find out what your customers want, look at your customer service emails, social media posts, and complaint board. Focus in on what is important to them, then focus some of your video content on these topics. If it is important to your clients, it should be important to you.

5. Use Whiteboard for systematic processes or sales presentations

Before you start with the production of your video, it is important to think about the goal of each and every video you produce. No matter what format you choose, whiteboard or character animation, what do you want your viewers to focus on?

If creating an explainer video is your goal, you should include the following in each one:

  • Important information told in an engaging matter
  • Content that resonates with the viewer
  • Presentation of a problem and solution
  • Illustrating why your brand is best

All of the above are important but don’t forget to focus on one thing at a time. If your purpose is to get more subscribers to your newsletter, for example, create a whiteboard video that takes the viewer through the various aspects of your newsletter or that shows them the value of it.

Then include a call-to-action that asks them to join your subscription list.

If your goal is to get people to buy from your website, you should show pictures and video of your products and how they help people make their lives better in some way.

Remember an important point about product presentations. When explaining what a product can do for them, remember that people purchase more for what the product can do for them, rather than the product itself.

6. Keep Them Coming Back

Remember that the ultimate goal of your explainer video should be to keep people coming back to your site or blog regularly. When producing your video content, make an announcement at the end as to when your next video will be, so that people will be looking for it. Also announce it on social media sites and blogs and spread the word through email and newsletters whenever you produce new content.

7. Keep it simple

When creating your explainer videos or whiteboards, keep it simple. Go over the most important things in the process that you want people to know and don’t dwell too much on the technical aspects. This can make your video boring to people who are not that deep into the process of it. Remember many people watch your content to learn more about a product, your brand, or how something works.

Provide an answer to their problem by showing them in simple terms how to use a product in a way that will benefit them.

If you are creating an explainer video about your brand, focus on the mantra of your company, not just your products.

Marketing is showing off your products and services, but branding is proving value for your company. Focus on your branding in your videos, even when you are illustrating a process or service.

Preproduction planning is the key to success when creating explainer videos. Whether you use the whiteboard, talking head, or character animation, focus on your script and your message first. Then locate a great video production team to help you put it together.

It may be the best thing you do for your branding.

For many content writers and affiliates, blogging has become one of the most effective ways to earn money online. However, making money through Clickbank can be a tough task. For that this article highlights the many different aspects of Clickbank for beginners to make money, while also using blogging, content creation, social media and SEO as the main traffic sources.

1. Patience and Targeting Your Audience

The good news is that there are plenty of traffic sources and new marketing methods and ideas to go around.

The important thing to remember is that you are going to need to have patience, and understand not just how to target your audience, but also how to provide value to them as well. The patience comes in handy, as most people think it’s easy to gets started with making money online, but this actually comes down to how much time and money you have to put into it.

Here’s quick formula that can help with this process.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the ClickBank platform
  2. Select a niche market or set of offers that provide a solution to a problem
  3. Study that target audience and how you can solve their problem with this item
  4. Then, start thinking about a blog, content creation, and marketing plan

Below you will find just a few of the top offers on ClickBank today to help stir up some ideas on what you might want to promote and who you can target as potential leads and customers.

2. Content, Content, Content… and More Content

On the internet, content means everything. Without it, you have nothing.

However, don’t forget that we also just mentioned that there are now more than a billion different sites on the internet today.

To efficiently make money with your site content, affiliate marketing, and ClickBank, you will need to create a few pillar content articles on your site that can be referenced time and time again. At the same time, you will also want to make sure that each of them have a clear call to action at the beginning, middle and end of the article.

The thought that the ‘more content you create, the better‘, is no longer the case.

Instead, try to create a few articles of value — with around 1,500+ words in each — and then keep promoting through social media, link building, SEO and paid advertising. This is also referenced to as the skyscraper method.

By focusing on these handful of articles, it will make the content creation and promotion aspect of your business much easier.

3. Take Advantage of Social Media and Online Video

There is no question about it, the demand and usage of social media and online video is now higher than ever before. We can also assume these trajectories are just going to keep improving over time as more people rely on Facebook and Instagram to get their news, while also using their mobile devices over laptop and desktop computer.

With so much user interest focused in these areas, it would be a huge mistake to not be using video within your affiliate marketing efforts as well. Many of the landing pages from top ClickBank sellers are based on using video — and you can do the same to further improve sales as well.

The hard thing about this is that not many affiliates or bloggers know how to create video. The good news, is that through a video creation tool like mysimpleshow, this is easier than ever. All you need to do is walk through a simple design wizard, input the text and images you like, and then you are provided with a nice whiteboard or explainer video of your own.

Below you will find an example video that highlights the top video trends in 2019, while also showing you what is possible through the video creation platform.

This can prove extremely useful in your ClickBank and affiliate earnings, as these videos can be used for marketing on social media platforms to send traffic directly to your affiliate site, landing page, or the offer directly.

4. Create Custom Landing Pages

When someone comes to your website, blog, or landing page… you need them to complete a task in order for you to generate some form of revenue.

One of the best ways to accomplish this, is by having landing pages that work for you. Landing pages work great because they eliminate distractions and focus on one main call to action. This is also how 99% of successful offers on ClickBank continue to generate high conversions and sales for themselves and their affiliates.

As important as custom landing pages are, it’s all about video and engagement. If you want to grab the attention of your audience within just a few second, you need to get them to start taking action or keep them engaged.

While we used whiteboard videos in the data point above, when it comes to the actual sales process and getting a user to take action, you will likely want to go with a higher level video that is completely customized for your call to action and brand. A video creation company like simpleshow can do all of this for you. They are the same company as the video creation tool above, but it’s their full design agency — which many top brands and marketing agencies are using today.

To learn more about what’s working for the top ClickBank merchants, simply take a look at the top selling products within your niche. Then, head over to their sales landing pages and see how many of them are using whiteboard videos to immediately engage with their audience.

The more you learn about the products and offers you are promoting, the more likely you are to find success with it.

5. Remember that Your Blog is a Business

You should now have a good understanding on the basics of blogging, affiliate marketing, and how to make money and target an audience through the use of Clickbank offers and promotions. With this in mind, you should also clearly have a good understanding that if you want to make money online, you need to treat your blog like a business.

To recap, from the beginning — this is the process you need to follow from beginning to end.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the ClickBank platform
  2. Select a niche market or set of offers that provide a solution to a problem
  3. Study that target audience and how you can solve their problem with this item
  4. Then, start thinking about a blog, content creation, and marketing plan
  5. With this in mind, you should then start focusing on how to target that audience

Don’t confuse ‘blogging‘ with content creation and just putting stuff out there. In order to make money with a website or blog, you need to be generating some type of traffic, leads, and sales through your site. This is where most people fail.

Follow these five simple steps and there is now reason why you shouldn’t be able to find continued success with blogging, affiliate marketing, and Clickbank offers.

How to Start a Self Help Blog That’ll Inspire Millions in 2019

January 4, 2019

Do you have a knack for writing? Do you love to share your insightful stories with the rest of the world? If so, then it’s time for you to showcase your talent with a self help blog!

Your blog will allow you to express your thoughts and feelings. Best of all? You can inspire millions of people with your guidance.

Let’s get to it!

Write Down All Your Ideas

The brainstorming part can be the most fun part! This is where you jot down everything that comes to mind. No filter, no judgment – just your thoughts.

Spend some time thinking about what you would like to write. If you’re uncertain where to begin, consider the following questions:

  • What kind of articles do you enjoy reading best?
  • What are your favorite bloggers writing about?
  • What kind of information is missing that you would love to share?

Don’t get too hung up on exact topics or keywords at this point. If you need to overcome fear of perfectionism, now is the time to focus on that.

Allow yourself 1-2 weeks to brainstorm and write down as many blog topics and ideas that come to mind. This will help you create a plan for writing and posting.

Deliver Valuable Content

A Google search on “how to write a blog post” will yield you millions of results in a nanosecond. And it’s true. There are many tips for structuring, organizing, and optimizing your blog posts.

But at the end of the day, quality is king. You need to provide content people want to read. If you can do that, the rest will fall into place.

Focus on your value first. After a while, you can focus on all the other nuances (marketing, SEO basics, etc.)

Commit to Consistency

If you want to create a dynamic blog, you need to devote time and attention to it. By 2020, research suggests there will be nearly 32 million bloggers in the United States. That said, most of those blogs will never get read.

To rise to the top, you need to be consistent with your blogging. This means setting aside designated time every day to focus on your writing, marketing, and web design.

There isn’t a perfect answer to “how much” you need to do. More isn’t always better, but consistency is always best.

Connect With Other Bloggers

Although it may seem counterintuitive, networking with other like-minded bloggers can improve your blog – and your reputation.

Building relationships with other bloggers can open valuable opportunities including:

  • guest posting
  • collaboration posts
  • backlinking
  • referrals for services/products
  • interpersonal connection

Moreover, many bloggers are eager to share their ideas with new bloggers. Send out a friendly email and introduce yourself.

Final Thoughts on Your Self Help Blog

We’re in a time where readers are hungry for information and self-growth. If you’re passionate about helping others, a self help blog can help highlight your passion in dynamic ways.

How Bloggers Can Find the Best Credit Card with Great Rewards

December 26, 2018

The average American has 2.6 credit cards. That means, they have 2.6 ways to spend money they don’t have, accrue debt via interest, and fall into financial ruin…

That’s what some financial experts would say anyway.

The truth about credit cards though is that, if you use them responsibly, they actually pay you to carry them.

That’s right!

When you think about it that way, the average American actually is carrying 2.6 income streams.

How do credit cards pay users you ask? Through awesome cash back and travel rewards!

There are thousands of credit cards out there that will offer you cash back or other rewards on the things you buy that you can exchange for the stuff you love. If you pay off your card in full each month, you’ll get all of those benefits without paying a dime in interest.

Here’s how to choose a credit card that offers the best rewards!

1. Understand Where Your Credit is At

Unfortunately, rewards credit cards are only for people who have decent credit. As a matter of fact, the best ones are only for people who have excellent credit.

That’s why your first step when asking “how to choose a credit card that offers rewards” should be to figure out what your credit score is.

If you start applying for rewards cards whiteout knowing your score, you run a high chance of rejection. Every time you get rejected, your credit score will go down slightly.

Armed with knowledge of your score though, you’ll be able to apply for cards that are within reasonable range of what you know you qualify for.

To figure out your credit score, consider using free credit checking tools like Mint.

2. Figure Out What Kind of Rewards You Want

Different credit cards offer different kinds of rewards.

Some offer airline points for a specific airline. Some offer travel points you can use on all airlines. Others offer cashback that takes money off  your monthly statement.

Understanding what kind of reward is the most valuable to you will help narrow down your choices substantially.

In my opinion, unless you fly with a certain airline religiously, avoid rewards cards that only give you points on a particular airline. Credit cards that offer more flexible points like BMO world elite will give you much more in the way of redemption options.

3. Do You Qualify For a Business Card?

If you think the kind of rewards personal credit cards give consumers are impressive, wait until you see what business cards offer.

Some business cards offer $1000.00 worth of travel rewards just for signing up for them (and meeting certain qualifications).

If you have a business (yes, a freelance business counts) see what your options are as far as business-focused cards go. Doing so could help you accrue rewards a lot faster than you would with a personal credit card.

4. Compare and Contrast Sign Up Bonuses

One of the biggest perks you’ll get from your credit card is a sign-up bonus. Sign up bonuses are a lump sum of rewards some credit card companies give to consumers just for choosing their card.

There is one catch though…

In order to get the sign-up bonus that’s promised, you’ll have to spend a certain amount of money within 3 months of you receiving your card.

This “minimum spend” amount varies based on how big your sign-up bonus is.

So, if a sign up bonus was $100.00, you may only have to spend $300.00 in three months. If the sign-up bonus was a $1000.00 however, you might have to spend $4000.00 in three months to claim it.

Pick the card with the best sign up bonus that you think you can meet the minimum spending requirements for.

5. Assess The Rate in Which You’ll Receive Rewards

After you get your sign up bonus, your credit card will keep giving you rewards with every purchase you make (which makes for a low effort way to earn passive income). The rate at which you’ll get rewards on purchases though varies from card to card.

Some cards may offer you 3% cash back on purchases while others may only offer you 1%.

Obviously, you should pick the card that’s offering you the highest cash back percentage.

6. Watch Out for Annual Fees

Some credit cards offer big sign up bonuses and high cash back/rewards points percentages but charge consumers annual fees.

These fees can be anywhere from $49.00 per year to $600.00 per year.

The higher your annual fee is, the better your card perks may be. Because of that, if you spend a lot each year, your perks will usually outweigh your fees substantially.

If you don’t spend that much though, you may end up losing a ton of money if your annual fee is too high.

You don’t need an annual fee to get decent rewards from your credit card. So, if you’re not sure whether or not a fee is right for you, just start with a card that doesn’t ask for one.

7. Apply

If you’ve assessed potential credit cards per my tips above, all that’s left to do is apply!

Make sure you fill our your card applications completely (and honestly) and wait to hear back.

Sometimes approval is instant. Other times it takes 2-3 weeks to hear back.

Be patient and once you get your credit card, be sure to always pay off your balances in full each month so you never end up paying any money in interest!

Wrapping Up How to Choose a Credit Card with Great Rewards

My tips above should help you to easily answer your how to choose a credit card with great rewards questions.

Take them to heart and enjoy getting paid to use your cards!

Keyword Stuffing 101: What It Is And How to Avoid It In Your Blog Content

December 21, 2018

Trying to write a blog that’s successful and efficient is often like having to learn a whole new language. Terms you’ve never heard of are now essential to communicating with the people you want to reach.

Search engine optimization, white hat and black hat, backlinks, keywords and keyword stuffing are all things you hear.

Do you really know what any of them mean or how to effectively use them to help you get noticed online?

Today we’re going to answer a few of those questions like what is stuffing and how does it apply to SEO?

Unlike the stuffing you eat at Thanksgiving, this kind of stuffing isn’t a good thing.

In this guide, we’ll tell you what keyword stuffing is and why you need to avoid it at all costs.

What is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization is having content that gets recognized by search engine algorithms so that you rank higher. There are several ways to improve your ranking by considering the hundreds of factors that affect your position in their results pages.

There are good ways and not so good ways to accomplish search engine optimization. Not every effort yeilds the results you’re hoping for and some are even counter-productive.

White Hat SEO

White Hat SEO isn’t just effective with search engines. It’s written with the human visitor in mind rather than focusing solely on algorithms. Content is created to fill the needs of the searcher as well as the search engine.

Blog posts are filled with information that the reader will find helpful, entertaining and educational. It is done in a way that also takes into account the factors that search engines look for.

Keywords and links are strategically placed throughout the content to benefit your SEO strategy without compromising the quality of the content. You design your website and sitemap to be search engine optimized while always focusing on the reader.

It’s a balancing act that takes a knowledgeable and experienced staff or a hired company specializing in SEO service.

Black Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO is a practice that focuses all its efforts on search engine algorithms and doesn’t care about reader satisfaction.

Many people think if they fill their pages with backlinks and stuff their content with keywords that they’ll get noticed and ranked higher by search engine algorithms. This is often referred to as keyword stuffing.

What is Stuffing? Why Shouldn’t You Do It?

Keyword stuffing is when you fill meta tags, page content or backlink text with keywords in hopes of unfairly rating better and showing up higher in the results displayed to searchers.

It’s like cheating at search engine optimization. And while it may work to get you ranked higher to begin with it can actually damage your reputation, your ranking in the long run and your business.

Once search engine algorithms discover what you’re doing, you’ll be considered less reputable and rank less.

How Does Keyword Stuffing Hurt Business?

Search engine users are looking for information. They want to find the most accurate and helpful site for the topic they’re searching.

If your site ranks in the first few results because of keyword stuffing but doesn’t provide visitors with the information they really want, they’ll go to a site that does. Often they’ll never return to your site. You’ll have lost the chance for a customer or follower to see the good things you have to offer.

Search engines want to give their searchers the most accurate and relevant results when they look for information. If you only provide keywords stuffed onto a page either visibly or in tags and link text, without giving the visitors what they want, you’ll eventually be figured out and it will hurt your ranking in the future.

So now you’ve lost ranking and customers by trying to take shortcuts and cheat on your search engine optimization strategies.

Focus on What You Know Best

Your website and blog shouldn’t be designed for search engines. Yes, you need to consider them when coming up with a strategy. When you have quality content and an effective plan you can make your clients happy and climb your way to the top of the results page.

What is stuffing going to do for you if you get penalized in the long run? Stick to quality content and a solid strategy to ensure long-lasting results.
